Mice, Rats and Squirrels all belong to the largest group of mammals, the Rodents, with over 1,500 species, 15 of which inhabit the UK. Mice live in close relation to man, and as a consequence, have spread throughout the world, they can survive extremes in temperature, living anywhere from barren deserts to frozen tundra.
Mice can gnaw through wood, soft alloy and electric cable insulation, creating the risk of fires. They can carry and transmit diseases such as Salmonella, which causes food poisoning . They present a danger in any building.
A mated female mouse will, after about 20 days gestation, have a litter of up to 6. These are weaned in 3 weeks, and are sexually mature in 3 months. Given ideal conditions mice can reproduce every 2-3 weeks, and a sizable infestation can develop very quickly.
Before commencing any treatment you should contact us or advice on any Rodent infestation and treatment.
